A three-day Christmas artisan market in the grounds and stable buildings of Balmoral Castle on Royal Deeside, with Scottish crafts, food and drink.

Balmoral Castle, the royal family's Highland home on Royal Deeside, hosts a Christmas artisan market run by Exclusively Highlands. A tented village runs from beside the castle past the restaurant and café to the Mews and shop, with more exhibitors inside the old stable buildings and a food avenue with covered seating.

The organisers describe it as one of their largest events. Expect Scottish crafts – forged metalwork, antler art, ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles, candles and skincare – plus baking, patisserie, charcuterie, game, cheeses, fudge and tablet, and craft spirits. Street food and the castle cafés provide refreshments.

Entry to the market is free; the parking arrangements were still to be confirmed when checked.
