A big one-day outdoor Christmas market in the North Devon village of Braunton, with around 150 craftspeople and small businesses, street food and entertainment into the evening.

The North Devon Christmas Market takes over Braunton for a Saturday afternoon and evening in early December. The organisers describe it as the biggest event of its kind in North Devon, with more than 150 craftspeople and small businesses.

Craft stalls sell handmade jewellery, clothing, sweets and gifts, and there is a wide street-food line-up (Thai, hog roast, curry, churros and more). Choirs, dance groups and acoustic musicians perform through the day, with inflatables and rides for children.

Entry is free, and the market runs from midday until 8pm, so it is worth staying for the evening atmosphere. Braunton's own shops are open too.
