A one-day Christmas street market in the abbey town of Sherborne, with more than 100 stalls of local makers and producers along its traffic-free main streets.
On a Sunday in early December, Sherborne closes Cheap Street and South Street to traffic for its Festive Shopping Day. More than 100 stalls of local makers, producers and traders line the streets alongside the town's independent shops, cafés and pubs.
The day is organised by volunteers from the Chamber of Trade and Commerce. It ends at 4pm with a parade and the lighting of the town's Christmas tree.
Entry is free, and in 2026 parking is free on the day at Acreman Street, Coldharbour, Culverhayes, Newland North, Old Market Yard and the Digby Hall car parks.
