A one-evening Christmas market of local food producers and makers in the Steak Barn at Balgove Larder farm shop, just outside St Andrews.

Balgove Larder, the farm shop and butchery on the edge of St Andrews, has run its Night Market since 2014, setting up producers and makers inside its Steak Barn on summer evenings. The season ends with a Christmas Night Market on an evening in early December.

Stalls showcase local food, drink and gifts, and the farm shop stays open so visitors can pick up festive meat and butchery orders, with Christmas trees and wreaths on sale from the Garden Shed. Past Christmas editions have featured live music including carols from a Salvation Army brass band, food from the Steak Barn and visiting food trucks, and mulled wine and hot chocolate.

Entry is free. It is a short, after-work event of about four hours rather than a multi-day market.
