A six-week Christmas market of colourful wooden huts spread across three sites in Canterbury city centre, including the cathedral precincts.

Canterbury's Christmas market runs every day from mid-November to Christmas Eve across three areas of the city centre: Whitefriars, St George's Street and, since a recent extension, the Canterbury Cathedral precincts. The organisers describe more than 120 traditional wooden huts and around 170 stallholders, making it one of the largest Christmas markets in Kent.

Stalls sell handmade gifts, decorations and festive food and drink such as mulled wine and hot chocolate, with live music on some days. The market is free to visit; extras such as Breakfast with Santa, a grotto and a virtual-reality Lapland experience are booked separately online.

The organisers warn that roads and car parks around Canterbury get very busy in December and point visitors to the city's park and ride.
