A three-day ticketed Christmas gift fair held inside Hopetoun House, the Georgian stately home near South Queensferry, with more than 50 makers and sellers in its decorated rooms.

Hopetoun House, the Adam-designed stately home on the Firth of Forth west of Edinburgh, opens its Christmas-decorated main house for a three-day shopping fair at the end of November. More than 50 exhibitors sell artisan crafts, seasonal gifts and local produce, some of them set out in the state rooms, with live festive music during the weekend. The 2025 fair marked its 25th anniversary.

Food is served in the Stables Kitchen, and an outdoor food village offers pizza, hog roast, churros, hot chocolate and mulled wine. A festive afternoon tea is available by pre-booking only.

Entry is by ticket and must be booked in advance: the 2025 fair sold out and there were no tickets on the gate. Hopetoun says there is plenty of free parking, and the grounds can be explored on the same visit. The house advises using the access from the A904 Bo'ness road rather than following sat nav.
