A large Sunday Christmas market of artisan makers and festive food stretching along Skipton's cobbled High Street.

Skipton, the market town known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, holds its Christmas market on two Sundays in December along the cobbled setts of the High Street, where the town's regular charter market trades through the year. The Skipton BID visitor site describes more than 100 stalls of artisan makers, producers and crafters.

Festive food and drink includes mulled wine, hot chocolate, mince pies, roast chestnuts and German bratwurst, and there is a programme of live entertainment. The market sits alongside the High Street's independent shops, so it makes a good start to Christmas shopping.

It is an outdoor event and can be called off in severe weather: the December 2024 Sunday was cancelled because of Storm Darragh.
