A new three-day Christmas market on Chesterfield's market square and New Square, ending with the town's Christmas lights switch-on.
New for 2026, Chesterfield's Christmas market takes over the town's main market area and New Square for three days in late November. Regular market traders are joined by local independents, artisan makers, craft producers and food vendors, with festive lighting and decoration across the site.
Expect artisan gifts, crafts, seasonal food and drink, fairground rides, live entertainment and an après-ski-style bar. The Sunday coincides with the annual Christmas Lights Switch-On, with a brass band, street entertainers, fairground rides and a stage show outside the Town Hall before the lights go on at 5.30pm.
It's free to visit. The borough council runs it in partnership with Dowse Events.
